I met Rhone at their booth while at the Overland Expo. As we chatted I looked over their merchandise display. Being a BDR rider, I had been looking for a small light with hatchet for some time for my ADV bike. After examining the hatchet I decided to give it a try. I received the hatchet within a few days. The following weekend I put it to it's paces. It worked well and proved to be very useful. And, most importantly, it fit perfectly in my pannier.
Initial thoughts after opening the package was that the overall quality felt good. The handle feels solid in the hand, and the hatchet has a nice weight to it.
I hope it serves great use out on the trails and it’s a nice factor to have the hex key built into the blade.
It’s also a bonus that they wrote a hand written thank you on the order receipt. It’s the small things from companies like this that goes a long ways!
Look forward to this product and if all goes well, definitely will buying more from these guys.
It'll be handy for kindling and stuff. Definitely small enough to pack on the adv bike. We'll see how long it holds an edge. Just got it so, I'll do a long term review in the fall.
The hatchet seams well made if not smaller than I expected.
High quality and a nice size. Easy to attach to a pack or belt. I keep mine in my truck door compartment. Excellent product!
